CARING FOR ALL

A PASTORAL CARE COURSE

a course for all those involved in
offering care from a Christian perspective

What is the Course About?

The purpose of the course is for those who have responsibility for caring for people involved with church communities. The quality of our caring is a sign of God’s love to and for one another as the church looks to be the body of Christ. It is also a witness to the wider community that Christians have something special to offer a broken world that needs healing and reconciliation.

The length of the session will normally be about one and a half hours but no longer than two. Each one will have both practical help and a theological reflection on different aspects of pastoral care. The course can be minister or lay led depending upon circumstances and would be ideal for use by Area Partnerships.

I would hope that this resource might help to train, enable and empower pastoral carers to help create the “fullness of life” that Christ calls us into and that in doing so the local church might also be a healing tool to the wider world.
