The United Reformed Church is in a period of change. As the Church moves forward it is important that Training and resources keep a pace with the changes. I believe that Mission begins and ends with the local Church and so am delighted that here in Eastern Synod it is our aim to invest time and money into equipping God's people to be able to meet the challenges of 2012 and beyond with confidence and enthusiasm.

As a Synod we fully engaged with the Vision4Life three year process looking at the Bible, Prayer and Evangelism. Whilst this came to an end in Advent 2011 we know that some churches are still working through the Vision4Life materials and that other churches having run the three years as an in house event are now running a further three years as outreach into the community. For this reason you will still find the materials on our website for you to use as you wish.

As a Mission tool of the denomination we now have the Vision 2020 statements to help us think about our mission priorities. These will also form part of the Local Church and Mission Review process in our Synod so you will find lots of information about Vision 2020 on our webpages as well.

I have also produced various training courses for the local church and for Elders away days and meetings as well as some pastoral booklets on particular areas. Details of these can be found on these pages.
