Tracing the story of Barnabas, a largely overlooked character who contributed so much to the life of the early church, the evening will call you to live the everyday life in a beautiful way.  Barnabas is a tremendous example of generosity, encouragement, believing the best, volunteering, and being a practical servant in the church. His life also teaches us important lessons about maintaining unity and navigating conflict.  A brilliant evening suitable for all - come and be entertained, inspired and encouraged.

In the busyness of life we all need the opportunity to step back and spend time in the company of God reflecting upon life, our faith and what God is calling us to. These days will have a different emphasis allowing a variety of approaches that make the most of Westminster’s stunning buildings and facilities. In March we will be focusing on Aspects of the cross. If you think you would like to take longer than a day with us why not consider our “In the Company of” initiative that allows for some guided reflection.

Crossfire is a United Reformed Church Youth Camp - 25th - 28th May 2018

cflogo-large-wborderCrossfire is a United Reformed Church Youth Camp -  25th - 28th May Second May Bank Holiday Weekend 2018 (Friday - Monday) £30.00 when booked before 30th March 2018 (£40 after)  Crossfire will be held at Stathern Lodge Farm, Nr. Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire LE14 4EX. 

crossfireThere will be the usual mix of talks, small group sessions, sung worship lead by the Crossfire worship band, night walks and fantastic cooked food. If you come, you’ll be sent a list of exactly what you need to bring. Crossfire is an exciting event for young people 12+ years (year 7 and up) brought to you by GEAR and United Reformed Church Youth as part of the United Reformed Church.  All of the Crossfire camps are dedicated to provide a safe place to meet with God, to discover and be reminded of all Jesus Christ has accomplished on the cross, and to learn how to live a gospel centred life … and have a lot of fun doing so!

This retreat day offers the opportunity to slow down and find rest through guided study and reflection, individual quiet time.  Clare Priory has been a place of prayer for many centuries. The monastery, new church and beautiful grounds offer peaceful surroundings, inviting us into the presence of God   

The weekend will start late Friday afternoon and finish after lunch on Sunday. The accommodation is full board and most rooms are en suite. The charge for this retreat is £140 per person. This includes all meals. The cost of the retreat can be met from Lay Preachers allowances if applicable.

Open to all 11 - 18 year-olds associated in any way with the URC - and will engage with the URC's 2018 General Assembly.
