What is a Fresh Expression of Church?

A fresh expression is a form of church for our changing culture, established primarily for the benefit of people who are not yet members of any church.

  • It will come into being through principles of listening, service, incarnational mission and making disciples;
  • It will have the potential to become a mature expression of church shaped by the gospel and the enduring marks of the church and for its cultural context.

mission-shaped-ministry1The Norwich Diocese of Ely and Edmundsbury & Ipswich, Colchester, East Anglia, Methodist District, Eastern Baptist Association and the Eastern Synod of the URC are delighted to make Mission-Shaped Ministry (msm) available locally. We believe it will be a significant resource for building the Kingdom of God in this area.

Individuals are most welcome, but we particularly hope that small groups from a church or fresh expression will come as this will deepen the impact of the course.
