What is a Synod Youth Executive? - A Synod Youth Executive (SYE) is a group of young people aged 14-25 who represent young people of the Synod. The aim is to enable young people to have a voice and influence decision making in the Synod as well as helping to plan and organise events for young people.
The SYE will meet several times a year and keep in touch between meetings. There is also opportunity to attend Synod meetings, URC Youth Assembly and maybe even represent the Synod at General Assembly.

Youth Assembly Report 23rd - 25th January 2017
'A weekend full of wonderful celebrations – celebrations of God’s love for us and God’s open invitation to all.' The words come from Dan Morrell, Youth Assembly Moderator for 2016-17, in describing the 2017 event. ‘Yet, at the same time, we remembered those who may feel marginalised,’ added Dan, ‘and we acknowledged that life isn’t always full of celebrations and happiness.' -
Youth Assembly Report 23rd - 25th January 2015
The United Reformed Church Youth Assembly took place 23 – 25 January, at Whitemoor Lakes, Staffordshire, under the theme of: "Treasures: Gifts from God".Young people from across the denomination were joined by John Proctor, general secretary of the URC and David Grosch-Miller, moderator of the URC's General Assembly. Following the Assembly, David said: "There was a real sense of friendship evident, even during difficult discussions, and a respect for different viewpoints which the whole church would do well to imitate."
TREASURES: Gifts from God - Young people from all parts of the URC joined together for an amazing weekend of workshops, worship, games, movies, comedy and loads more. The theme TREASURES: Gifts from God was an opportunity to grow in faith, to meet and share with other young people, discussing and exploring issues affecting the Church and society. This took place through workshops, Bible studies, creative sessions, worship and prayer, and of course the business that the young people bring.
