Westminster College Management Committee Vacancies

Can You Support Whole Life Discipleship?

When Daniel started work for the King of Babylon’s Chief of Staff, he had no idea where it would lead. The combination of valuable practical and administrative skills with a desire to honour God in all things served up a variety of opportunities and challenges. There was even a free pass into the lions’ den and another one out of it. Westminster College is currently looking for some new Daniels and Danielas.

The College in Cambridge, one of the United Reformed Church’s three Resource Centres for Learning, needs some new members for its Management Committee. Supporting the Governors and particularly the Bursar, the Committee oversees all the practical aspects of the College’s work promoting whole life discipleship. Variety is definitely on offer as the Committee’s agenda ranges from looking after special trees and ancient artefacts through to staffing policy and budgets. If like Daniel you are inquisitive and quick to learn, it is not absolutely essential to be as young and good-looking as he was.

We are especially keen to find four talented individuals:

  • Someone who has the potential to become the College Treasurer
  • Someone who knows about the hospitality industry
  • Someone who knows about buildings
  • Someone who knows about Personnel/HR matters

If you think this might be something God is prompting you - or someone you know - to consider, then I would be delighted to hear from you to explain more.

The pay is at the usual rate for URC volunteers but, like Daniel, you can request an excellent, free veggie lunch immediately before our quarterly meetings.
